For sale is a beautiful cluster of gem-clear vibrant green vesuvianite with bladed gem diopside from the famous locality, Jeffrey Mine, Asbestos, Quebe. The color of this vesuvianite was discovered in 2008. Wisps of green-blue chromium vesuvianite zoning can be seen in a few of the crystals, which may partly explain the unique gem color of these vesuvianites. The specimen is mounted on a pedestal-style acrylic base with removable mineral tack. A specimen label is included. According to my source for these wonderful vesuvianites, the Jeffrey Mine is operational on a very small-scale. A zone approximately 100 feet long along an abandoned perimeter road is where the vesuvianite is found. Collectors exposed a new pocket in October 2008 that yielded these wonderful apple-green gemmy vesuvianites. The specimen is mounted on a polished acrylic base with removable mineral tack. For sale is a beautiful thumbnail cluster of gem-clear vibrant green vesuvianite from the famous locality, Jeffrey Mine, Asbestos, Quebec The color of this vesuvianite was discovered in 2008.
Collectors exposed a new pocket this past October that yielded these wonderful apple-green gemmy vesuvianites.
